Sacred Heart Catholic College recently hosted a vibrant Science Day event with the theme “Global Science for Global Wellbeing”—a celebration that brought the importance of science in enhancing global quality of life to the forefront. The day was filled with insightful presentations, engaging activities, and inspiring discussions that underscored the vital role of scientific advancements in solving worldwide challenges.

Nine talented students, Adenekan Adetutu, Abadaike Elvis Kingdavid, Osoba Oyinkansola, Olatide Oriire, Ifeadime Deborah, Okolomike Benita, Fawoye Darasimi, Ajanlekoko Darasimi, and Olatunde Blessing, led the event with an impressive presentation on how science fosters wellbeing on a global scale. Each of them explored various scientific fields, demonstrating how innovation and scientific inquiry can contribute to health, environmental sustainability, and technological progress. Their dedication to understanding and communicating the impact of science on global wellbeing shone through their presentations, capturing the attention of peers, teachers, and staff.

The Science Day activities included a mix of demonstrations, experiments, and interactive sessions that allowed all students to actively participate and learn. The presenters emphasized the relevance of scientific knowledge and innovation in areas such as renewable energy, healthcare advancements, climate action, and the ethical use of technology.
