Upon boarding the buses at 8 am on January 31, 2023, we embarked on a journey to Greenped Engineering Limited in Ikeja, Lagos. The journey was smooth, with no hold-ups or technical issues, and we reached our destination by 10:02 am.

Morning Session:

A team awaited our arrival, and the students and staff were efficiently on-boarded. We were then taken to the training hall for the first session, where we learned about Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs). A break followed this session, during which we enjoyed refreshments provided by the company.

Afternoon Session – Industrial Automation and Partnership Discussion:

After the break, we delved into a session on the applications of industrial automation and the pathways to becoming an automation engineer. Additionally, we explored the possibility of partnering with Greenped Engineering Limited for student training during holidays or immediately after school, before proceeding to higher studies.

Interactive Sessions and Company Tour

The afternoon continued with a question and answer session, a hands-on practice session with a PLC and an HMI, and a comprehensive company tour, covering different sections. All activities concluded by 2:45 pm.

We reconvened at the training center for closing remarks and a vote of thanks. The manager, although wishing to address us personally, had a meeting scheduled for 3:00 pm. Therefore, a staff member represented him during the closing remarks.
